Laura & Joey's Engagements...

8.01.2008

This afternoon I met up with Laura and Joey to shoot their engagement photos... This has been one crazy week and I think I needed some behind the camera time to help me unwind a bit... The pictures went smooth and turned out great... however mother nature did not have a sunset for us tonight.... so I think we will try for those another time. Congratulations on the engagement guys... God bless!

Trey & Kaley's engagements...

7.24.2008

Well after being rained/stormed/lightning'ed out for the past two days... I was able to sneak in an engagement session with Trey and Kaley this afternoon. The weather was fabulous... other than hot! These two were great to work with and I think they had fun during the pictures.... I had to be careful what I told these two to do... because they would not hesitate and dive in head first to whatever... at one point I thought they were going to jump in the lake! Congratulations guys and God bless!

The future Mr & Mrs King...

This past weekend I ran up to Little Rock to meet up with these two to shoot their engagement pictures. We had a lot of fun beating the heat and walking through downtown shooting the pictures. I cant wait for the wedding... it is going to be at the chapel at Fort Chaffee and I know it will be a lot of fun! Congratulations guys and God bless!

Jeff and Shelcy's Engagements...

5.21.2008

Yesterday I met up with Jeff and Shelcy to shoot their engagements. We have been rained out twice already but God had way bigger plans for us. He absolutely showed out on this amazing sunset. This is definitely one of the best I have ever witnessed anywhere. Congratulations guys on the engagement and I can't wait for your upcoming wedding! Only 40-something days Shelcy!
** side note... I threw in a few more artsy images... let me know what you think about them!
God bless!

Copico and Akin Engagements...

5.06.2008

I met up with Ryan and Rebecca this afternoon for some engagement pictures... Ryan had called me earlier and said they had a few "out of the box ideas!" I had no idea what was in store for me! Only these two could pull it off though... they are so happy! I just love em to death! Then after the craziness we snuck in a few shots and had a killer sunset to work with! God bless!

Jody & Phillip's Engagements...

4.25.2008

Today I met up with Jody and Phillip to shoot their engagement photos. We had really wanted to get a killer sunset shot... but mother nature had different ideas for us. We also wanted to shoot railroad track shots and as we pulled through town... I could hear the train rolling through. So things started out rocky... but we handled business anyway. We got some unique shots at the lake... I love how blue everything is. Congratulations on the engagement guys! God bless.

Lexie and John Engagements...

4.24.2008

This afternoon I met up with Lexie and John to shoot their engagement photos. We went to the musuem to grab a few more "traditional" shots... then out to the lake for some more shots and even met up with John's parents who brought Ray for some shots. Ray did good but it was killing him not to get in the water. Again congratulations on the engagement... I cannot wait until the wedding! Only a few more months! God bless!

what do you think? im nominating this one for engagement photo of the year!

Zak and Lauren's Engagements...

4.07.2008

This afternoon I met up with Zak and Lauren to shoot their engagement photos. I have know Zak for a pretty good while through some cousin's of mine and I am glad to be able to be part of their wedding. We ran into some awesome light at the railroad tracks. It is amazing the things you can do with some quality canon glass and some killer light. I got a little crazy but I hope everyone likes the "different" shots we were able to get with the cool light. God Bless!

Wes and Kandice

3.02.2008

This afternoon I met up with a great buddy of mine from College and his fiance to shoot some engagements. It was very windy but we managed to find some slow times and get some shots in. We were blessed with two incredibly different scenes at the lake... there were so very low lying clouds that lit up the early sunset but the late part of the sunset it hid the sun for a dramatic yet colorful look.

God Bless!

Heather and Adam's Engagements...

2.02.2008

This afternoon I met up with Heather and Adam to shoot some engagement photos. I think me and Adam would possibly have rather watched the hogs game... but they pulled it out without us! Go Hogs! We ran up to the Gilbert's old barn and snagged a few and then let the pups out for a few shots... they actually behaved pretty well! Then we ran down to the tracks and got a few more to choose from. It was a beautiful day and I hope you got out and enjoyed it! We took Cooper out to the park this morning and I will post a few of those images tomorrow... it was a hoot! God Bless!

man this one below of them sitting on the tracks is probably my favorite... not to influence you guys... but I love this one!

Rebecca & Ryan's Engagemets...

1.25.2008

This week I got to shoot some pictures for Ryan and Rebecca's upcoming wedding! We had some awesome plans and was really going to go for uber super unique... but mother nature held us back a little bit. We decided to go ahead and shoot a few indoors for some publications they are working on... and we even beat the weather for a few quick shots at the end. Be on the lookout for R&R part II though coming up soon!
God Bless!

David and Lynn's Engagements

1.13.2008

This afternoon I met up with David and Lynn for the first time to show them some of the products we offer and discuss some plans for their wedding day on March 22... oh yeah... we also took some engagement pictures. Congratulations guys on your engagement and I cannot wait until the big day!
God Bless...

Top 100 of 2007

12.21.2007

I love this time of year! Not only for the holidays but I love wrapping up another year of incredible weddings! This year we have been blessed with over 20 weddings so my top 50 post quickly grew into a top 100 post! One reason I like to post this is to not only share with everyone my favorite images... but I purposefully choose images from EVERY wedding to show that we are consistent in providing moving images from every wedding! We love what we do and love being a part of the big day! It was really difficult to pick these images out... most are from weddings... some are from bridal sessions... and a very select few came from engagements or couple sessions. Those from the engagements/couple sessions had to be really rockin images to make the cut though. As always I am sure while browsing through some 40-50,000 images I missed what is probably some of my favorites... but i tried! Although I am going to be laying pretty low over the next week or so... keep coming back over the holidays because I plan on doing a similar post of nothing but Cooper!!! Top 100 of Cooper! God Bless and Merry Christmas!

FREE WEDDING GIVEAWAY!

10.05.2007

Recently I have been doing some brainstorming and started questioning why photos are so important to me and my family. You can take one glance around either of my offices, my home, or even my vehicle and see how important photography is to me. To me photography is a way of freezing a moment of time and being able to display it forever. Not the... "say cheese" type photography... but the type of photography that pours over with feeling and emotion. The type of photography that makes you feel like you were a first hand spectator whether you were or not! I realize this is why I love weddings the way I do. Most photographers would say... I dont do weddings... its too stressful. But I find that weddings are by far the most rewarding photo event there can be. The emotions are always on high... the families are always present... everyone is clean and looking good... in most cases it would be impossible to mess up! There is nothing more I love than being in the right place at the right time... maybe it is in the back of the foyer... non-obtrusively crouching in a corner while the father gives his daughter one last kiss on the cheek before he escorts her down the aisle... thats a photo that will stir some emotion.
I love shooting weddings and I hope that it shows in all of my work. I think sometimes people get caught up in all the "stress" and miss the moments.
Thinking back on how well Amber and I have been blessed during our so far short lives... I have a strong feeling that I want to give back and positively influence the lives of someone.
THIS IS WHY I AM GOING TO BE SHOOTING A WEDDING FOR FREE NEXT YEAR. COMPLETELY FREE... WEDDING, ENGAGEMENTS, SHOOTING, ONLINE POSTING, ALBUM, THE WORKS... FOR FREE. Here is the fine print:

The New Blog is here!!!

9.08.2007

The new blog is finally here and here to stay! Madeline Miller with Made by Madeline designs helped me out with this rockin design. I am so happy with it. So now the blog has a combination of my style and flexibility, large images, along with great commenting and archiving that blogger blogs offer! I couldn't be more happy. You can still see some of the last few posts at http://www.terrysphotography.wordpress.com/ and some of the comments of the posts over there too...
I am in the process of getting all the posts moved over to the new blog. As of right now, the old-old posts are unavailable... anything from around July 07 and back is gone for now... I hope to have it back in a few days too. For now I have all the last few weddings reposted here on the new blog and the last few weeks can be seen at the wordpress link above. I hope you enjoy the new blog... the site is archived by months... but if a month gets too long, there will be a link at the bottom that says older posts... so if you see this be sure and check out the older posts and leave some comments and let me know what you think!
